E Komo mai! Mai! He Mai!

Aloha Caucus

Aloha is more than just "hello" or "goodbye" to the people of Hawaiʻi.
Aloha is the spirit of love, peace, and harmony.
Aloha is breath shared between people, as a gift of acknowledgement of who they are, and who they carry with them.

Our Purpose

"Our mission is to foster a spirit of Aloha among our members by creating positive connections between educators and promoting engagement. We aim to raise awareness and a sense of responsibility to our community by equipping educators with tools grounded in Hawaiian culture, both in practice and belief. Through these efforts, we strive to cultivate a deep respect for Hawaiian culture and promote its values in education and beyond."

To promote a sense of harmony connecting mind and heart to each other from community engagement. Increasing awareness and a sense of responsibility to our community by equipping teachers with the tools from a Hawaiian cultural perspective rooted in practice as well as belief.

Vision:
To the people of Hawai’i, Aloha means more than just “hello” or “goodbye.” It is a concept that embodies the spirit of love, peace, and harmony. With this in mind, here’s a vision based around the idea of Aloha:

Imagine a world where people from all walks of life come together in the spirit of Aloha. They greet each other with warmth and kindness, regardless of their differences in culture, race, or background. This spirit of Aloha extends beyond just words, but is evident in the actions and behaviors of everyone.

In this world, there is a deep respect for nature and the environment. People take care of the land and sea, and work together to preserve the natural beauty of the planet. The principles of Aloha guide their interactions with each other and the world around them, creating a sense of balance and harmony.

Communities are tightly connected, and people genuinely care about each other. They support each other in times of need and celebrate each other’s successes. The spirit of Aloha pervades all aspects of life, including education, work, and governance.

In this world, conflicts are resolved peacefully through dialogue and understanding. People are willing to listen to each other’s perspectives and work together to find common ground. This results in a more just and equitable society, where everyone has an equal voice and opportunities.

Overall, our world based on ALOHA is one that is filled with love, compassion, and understanding. It is a vision of a world where people can live together in harmony, respecting each other and the planet they call home.

Mission:
To support and enrich the lives of our members through the power of ALOHA.
